Hi. I am Arnold Watson. Some people have told me that I look like Todd Bridges from the television sitcom “Different Strokes” when I was younger and more recently Terrence Howard the actor as seen in the movies “Red Tails” and “Hustle & Flow”. Well, I am flattered but I am most certain that neither of these two men would feel the same of me.
I generally introduce myself as Arnold, but some people refer to me as Arnie. Fine by me as it takes the “geeky” edge off a bit.
A few random things about me:
I was born in Camden, New Jersey. I lived there for the first year and one-half of my life and arrived later in California. Judging from what I have learned about my place of birth, I am glad for the migration.
In mid to late 1987, I lost my Mother and Father in a family tragedy. I survived. At the time I was 18-years old and suddenly thrust into adulthood accompanied by psychological scars of that event. My life was obscure at best.
I am fortunate to have married a wonderful woman of twenty years (2013) and counting. Together we have two sons who have grown into fine young men. The youngest of the two is Autistic and specifically deals with Aspergers. If you are familiar with Aspergers or Autism in general, then you now that we have had our share of struggles.
I am an introvert by nature (INTJ). Thus, I have always valued my privacy. Then I discovered sharing my personal story with select others made a difference in their lives as in my own for having done so.
From 1993 to 2008 I worked as a sales professional in fenestration for a national building supply company. I was laid off in the economic downturn of 2008. With some reservations, it has been one of the best things to happen to me. I learned so much about myself I didn’t know and hadn’t had the time to discover with the hustle of work. I am making the best of pursuing my passion as an entrepreneur. You can read 21 things you don’t know about me.
The only social media I am engaged in at the moment is Google+.
